White Turkey Chili

White Turkey Chili

  • 1 Whole Yellow onion, diced
  • 1 T Garlic, powder
  • 2 tsp Sea salt
  • 2 tsp Cumin, ground
  • 2 Pounds Turkey, ground
  • 1 Can White beans, cannelini
  • 3 Cups Bone broth
  • 1/2 cup Cream cheese (I use dairy free)
  • 3 T Olive oil
  • 2 T Arrowroot powder


  1. Preheat pot with olive oil

  2. Add diced onion and seasonings to the pot.  Cook until onion is tender

  3. Add the ground turkey and brown

  4. Add the white beans and mix thoroughly

  5. Add bone broth and bring to a simmer

  6. Just before serving, put cream cheese in a seperate bowl and add 1/2 cup of the hot bone broth to cream cheese

  7. Whisk the cream cheese and bone broth until completely mixed together

  8. Add to the chili and stir

  9. In a coffee cup add 2 T arrowroot and a little bit of water and mix until its a heavy cream consistency

  10. Slowly stir into the chili to thicken it up

White Turkey Chili

When deciding on what to make on this cool August day, White Turkey Chili came to mind.  As a kid I wasn’t a fan of tradition red chili, which as I go through all of my testing find out that most nightshades and kidney beans are not my friend.

How did I find this out besides my IgG and IgA testing?  Once this testing is completed, your best decision is to remove these foods that cause mucous and inflammation.  And it is recommended to do this for a length of time (12 to 18 weeks).

I am not quite through the elimination phase.  Once I am, I can chose one item and add it back in for a week and see how my body reacts.  To be honest, I feel so much better without these 43 ingredients I am not sure I want to add them back in.

I had leftover baked potatoes that were cut up and smashed down a bit and fried in a cast iron pan.  My husband and kids scooped the chili right over the crunchy potatoes and LOVED it!!!
